Duration: 3 ½ hours
Directly from the ship anchored at Mykonos, you will be transferred by either caique or boat to the sacred island of Delos, legendary birthplace of the Sun God Apollo and his twin sister Artemis (known as Diana to the Romans). A famous and sacred place in antiquity, today the only remaining inhabitants are its treasured ruins and their caretakers. The tour of the island (on foot) takes approximately two hours. You will visit the Sacred area with the Temple of Apollo (a great Pan-Hellenic sanctuary) and the famous Terrace of the Lions where five marble lions of the 7th Century BC line the way to the Sacred Lake (now dry). See the remains of the Hellenistic Quarter with its harbors, water houses, agoras, luxurious villas- among them the House of Cleopatra - and the renowned mosaic floors in the House of the Dolphin, the House of the Masks and the House of the Trident.

Notes: Passengers are advised to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a hat with as they will be exposed to the sun for a considerable length of time. Tour MYK-01 is not recommended for passengers with restricted walking abilities.
