Duration: 8 ½ hours
Rhodes is the emerald island in the south Aegean Sea. Drive across the island through beautiful scenery to Lindos the most splendid of the three ancient Dorian cities of Rhodes. Arrive at Lindos and visit the Acropolis overlooking the sea with panoramic views of the bay below. Visit the temple of Athena and the quaint little village at the base of the Acropolis. In Rhodes city see the castle of the Knights, drive up Monte Smith hill where the ancient Acropolis of the island, the restored Diagoras Stadium, the Temple of Apollo and the Mosque of Suleiman are found. Back in town, an extensive visit will be made inside the Grand Master's Palace, maintained in impeccable condition.

Notes: It is possible for participants to have an optional donkey-ride to the top of the Acropolis of Lindos, the price of this is not included in the excursion..
Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a hat as you will be exposed to the sun for a considerable length of time.
Handicapped persons may join the tour but will have to remain outside the sites that are not accessible.
Streets in the Old City of Rhodes are cobble stone laid.
